Unassuming water, deserving docks
Largo doesn't market its waterfront, but it's there — residential canals threading through established neighborhoods, small lakes, and waterways connecting toward the Intracoastal. The homes are often mid-century Florida: concrete block, terrazzo floors, and a backyard canal that was the whole reason the lot cost what it did.
These are practical dock waters. Moderate depth, low wake, seawalls of mixed age, and homeowners who want a solid dock for the boat or the fishing rods — not a status symbol. That's our favorite kind of project: honest work, fair price, dock that lasts.
What Largo docks need
Canal depth varies by neighborhood and by how recently the canal was maintained — we measure at low tide, always. Seawall age is the wildcard; many Largo canals were dug decades ago, and we check the wall before we tie a dock to it. For the lakefront pockets, it's a different conversation: freshwater means no borers and gentler conditions, which opens up material options and simpler designs.
Repairs are a big part of our Largo work. Older canal docks with good pilings get redecked; tired structures get re-piled; and when a dock's done, we show you the math honestly. No upsell, no scare tactics — just the condition and the options.
